David has over 30 years of experience in strategic corporate finance. After graduating from Cambridge he joined the civil service, working in a number of high profile roles including private secretary to the Prime Minister. After leaving government David moved into investment banking, concluding his executive career as vice chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
David’s non-executive experience includes the current roles of deputy chair and trustee at the British Library, senior independent director at Wates Group and director at Wessex Water. His previous non-executive work has included working with the John Lewis Partnership where he acted as deputy chair from 2006-2013 and chair of the remuneration committee until 2014.
